IIT’S TIME FOR TEA, COMMANDER – PVKK LAUNCHES ONTO STEAM IN SUMMER 2026

PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant trailer reveals new gameplay, features, and teases more to come

Today, independent game studio Bippinbits and video game company and creative studio Kepler Interactive revealed a brand-new trailer for PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant, the upcoming planetary defense simulation game. First revealed in the pre-show for Opening Night Live, bunker commanders in-training can now get an early briefing of PVKK with declassified new intel, ahead of the game’s full deployment planned for Summer 2026 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2956040/PVKK_Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant/).

In PVKK, fresh cadets will step into their own bunker and take on the role of a pilot tasked with a simple set of daily missions:

  1. READY your preparations, receiving key intelligence and regularly scheduled briefings from Command.
  2. AIM your weapon's trajectory carefully using your well-practiced skills and upgradable bunker equipment.
  3. FIRE your mammoth interplanetary defense canon and defend yourself from an unrelenting incoming invasion of otherworldly forces intent on destroying your facility.
  4. And, of course, always make time for your daily tea rations before resting up and defending your bunker again, and again and again...

Players will use the bunker’s handy Teleradio device to read more about their planet’s daily affairs, test their mental might with Command-sanctioned examinations, purchase new items to be delivered directly to the comfort of their bunker, and even enjoy some down time with a fun retro-style minigame (that fans of Bippinbits’ previous title Dome Keeper may recognize).

Additionally, attendees at Gamescom this year can also play a demo of the game on the show floor as part of the Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.2 from Aug. 20 until Aug 24. Fans will find a unique, immersive controller for the game on-site, and will toggle tactile switches, adjust mechanical dials and dutifully line up the trajectory of the in-game cannon to take on the invading interplanetary forces. PVKK will later appear at other international video game events with a playable demo in the year ahead, including Tokyo Game Show.
