Curse Rounds: a 1-bit roguelike that turns bad luck into fun and challenge
An indie game with a minimalist retro aesthetic and cards that turn against the player, acclaimed on Steam with over 90% positive reviews, is now available on consoles.
Curse Rounds, a frantic 1-bit action roguelike developed by the Brazilian studio Tentacles Interactive and published by QUByte Interactive, is coming to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox.
In a monochromatic and bleak world, each round of Curse Rounds challenges the player to choose the lesser of two evils. Unlike most roguelikes, in Curse Rounds, the cards aren't about upgrades and improvements, but rather about choosing what will, theoretically, make your life less difficult during the game.
There are more than 60 “Cursed Cards” that range from increasing enemy speed to removing half of the player’s health before entering battle.
