NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound sets right after the first events of the original NES NINJA GAIDEN on. The veil between the human world and the demon realm is torn, connecting the world to a gateway to darkness. After Ryu Hayabusa leaves the Hayabusa village to avenge his father, Kenji Mozu, an aspiring ninja of the Hayabusa clan and one of the two protagonists of NINJA GAIDEN: Rageboundto face the forces of evil.
