1. WHAT WAS THE FIRST GAME THAT YOU'VE PLAYED THAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH

GAMING?
Age of Empires 2

2.HOW DID YOU GET INTO GAME DEVELOPMENT?
I started teaching myself Gamemaker Studio, later I started a career in the VFX Industry, gained skills in computer graphics and left it, to get back into game development.

3.ARE YOU CURRENTLY A SOLO DEV OR HAVE YOUR OWN TEAM?
In core it's just me but, i wouldn't call myself a solo dev, because there are some advisors and i'm doing some outsourcing.



4. GIVE US A BACKSTORY ON HOW YOU CAME UP WITH THE STUDIO NAME REFUGIUM GAMES?
Refugium is a place where people can escape to.
I always was in love with games, in which I can escape.

5.WHAT WERE THE GAMES YOU'VE WORKED ON BEFORE THE ONE YOU ARE WORKING ON NOW?
Mostly mini games, or test games but nothing serious.

6.WITH GREYHILL INCIDENT WHAT WAS THE INSPIRACTION BEHIND THE NAME OF THE GAME?
Many "real" cases are called similar, like for example The Roswell Incident.




7. WHAT ENGINE ARE YOU USING FOR THIS GAME AND WHY?
Unreal Engine 4, i really like the UI and the Blueprint scripting possibility.

8. WHO IS THE PROTAGONIST IN THE GAME?
It's Ryan Baker, an "average guy" which lives with his son in an outlying village called Greyhill and is located in the USA.

9.THIS GAME IS A SURVIVAL HORROR GAME SO WHAT TYPE OF WEAPONS ARE YOU USING
IN THE GAME?
A Revolver with limited ammo and a Baseball Bat.



10.WITH THE STORY TELLING ASPECT OF THE GAME IS IT BASED ON SOME EVENTS THAT HAPPENED

IN THE PAST?
It's Inspired by several cases, events and movies of Alien abductions like Fire in the Sky, X-Files, Signs.
The Story is completely fictional.

11. WITH THE GAMEPLAY WILL IT BE MORE SO AN OPEN WORLD OR DOES IT HAVE LINEAR ELEMENTS

IN THE GAME?
It's not open world but the areas are bigger then in linear games.
     The Village is splitted in multiple areas after the prologue.
     Every area is free (open world like) to explore, the player has to solve tasks to proceed the story and get access to the next open area.
     So it's a mix of linear and open world.

12. IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAVE STEALTH MOMENTS IN THE GAME, CAN YOU TALK TO US ABOUT THAT?
The player can choose to sneak around or fight, but the game forces the player to run or sneak and only fight in situations he really must, because of the limited ammo and stamina.

13. HOW LONG WILL THIS GAME BE FROM START TO FINISH?
Around 4-5h




14. AS GAMERS WHY SHOULD WE WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME DAY ONE?
Because of the Classic Grey-Alien/UFO Topic. There weren't really games in this topic before, at least not in the Survival-Horror Genre.
We're making this game for gamers including us, who are fans of the Stereotypical Alien/UFO Topic and always wanted to play a game like that.

15. WHEN WILL THIS GAME RELEASED AND WHAT PLATFORMS WILL IT BE ON?
The release is planned for Q2/Spring 2023, we're currently working on the PC version but consoles are possible.
