EA SPORTS has officially launched EA SPORTS FC 27, bringing the latest entry in its football series to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The new installment introduces several major changes across its core modes, including a brand-new social experience called The Grounds.
The Grounds Brings Players Together
One of the biggest additions in FC 27 is The Grounds, a new social football playground designed to give players a more casual space to compete and interact.
The mode supports activities ranging from Kickabouts and 1v1 matches to playing alongside friends through Clubs. Players can also connect with football mentors, work on their abilities, and customize how they express themselves away from traditional matches.
The Grounds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Career Mode Gets a Major Overhaul
Career Mode receives several changes in FC 27, including a redesigned Transfer Market. Clubs can now participate in active bidding while player values are affected by additional factors.
Players will also encounter new negotiation options, including performance-based and buy-back clauses. Dynamic OVR ratings are designed to reflect factors such as form, morale, and fitness.
EA is also introducing custom scenarios through a standalone web portal, while Manager Live Creator Challenges give players access to community-created and curated challenges throughout the season.
Football Ultimate Team Adds New Ways to Build Your Club
Football Ultimate Team introduces the FUT Gallery, allowing players to collect and organize Player Items from different eras of football.
Players can increase their Gallery Level while earning rewards and developing their club identity. FC 27 also adds Holographic variants and Hall of FUT Player Items, along with streamlined Squad Building Challenges and new single-player Live Events.
Gameplay Receives Community-Focused Changes
EA SPORTS is also introducing several gameplay adjustments aimed at giving players more control on the pitch.
The updated gameplay system includes dynamic corners, improved attacking awareness, and a player-focused defensive system designed specifically with competitive play in mind. These changes are accompanied by additional updates based on feedback from the FC community.
FC 27 continues EA's focus on delivering a large-scale football simulation, featuring more than 21,000 players across over 800 clubs and national teams, 140 stadiums, and more than 35 leagues.
FC 27 Lite Is Available for New Players
Players who aren't ready to jump into the full game can also try EA SPORTS FC 27 Lite, a free-to-download version offering a limited selection of modes.
The streamlined version includes Kick-Off, Learn to Play, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons. Players can later upgrade to the full FC 27 experience.
EA SPORTS FC 27 is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. EA Play members can also access a 10-hour trial, with progress carrying over to the full game.
