Remedy Entertainment has revealed more details about how Control Resonant will perform on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, giving console players several graphics options to choose from when the supernatural action game launches later this month.
The sequel will offer different combinations of resolution, frame rate, and ray tracing depending on the console and display being used.
Control Resonant on PS5
Players on the standard PS5 will have two graphics modes:
- Performance Mode: 1440p at 60 FPS
- Quality Mode: 2160p at 30 FPS
Performance Mode prioritizes smoother gameplay, while Quality Mode increases resolution and visual detail in exchange for a lower frame rate.
The game will also support DualSense Adaptive Triggers and 3D audio on PS5.
PS5 Pro Gets Three Graphics Modes
The PS5 Pro receives an additional graphics option and pushes the game's resolution and visual quality further.
Its modes include:
- Performance: 2160p at 60 FPS
- Quality: 2160p at 60 FPS with ray tracing
- Balanced: 2160p targeting 40 FPS with ray tracing
The Balanced option requires a 120Hz-compatible display, giving players the option to combine higher visual fidelity with a smoother experience than the traditional 30 FPS Quality setting.
Remedy is also utilizing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), although the developer has not specified whether the game is using an updated version of the technology.
Control Resonant Launches September 24
Control Resonant is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The sequel expands upon the original Control with larger environments and a more open-ended design, making its performance targets particularly interesting for console players.
PC players will have access to even more demanding visual options, including Path Tracing, although achieving 4K/60 FPS with the feature enabled will require high-end hardware.
