New signs suggest that Halo: Campaign Evolved marketing may be ramping up, after a Reddit user shared an image allegedly showing promotional material for the game inside a GameStop store.

According to the post, the store was displaying shelf advertising that referenced Halo: Campaign Evolved as “coming soon” for both Xbox and PlayStation 5, a detail that has quickly sparked speculation online.

GameStop Display Fuels Cross-Platform Speculation

The Reddit user, Maxkid1995, described their surprise at seeing Halo branding alongside PlayStation 5 signage.

“I was just at my local GameStop, and they were promoting Halo: Campaign Evolved as coming soon for Xbox and PlayStation, and I still think it’s insane to see Halo on PlayStation,” they wrote.

If accurate, the promotional material would align with ongoing rumors that Microsoft is preparing broader platform releases for select Halo titles, including the upcoming remake project.

Recent Rating Leak Adds to Release Rumors

This latest sighting follows another development just weeks earlier, when Halo: Campaign Evolved was reportedly rated by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee.

That listing also included references to ESRB classification details, further fueling speculation that a formal release date announcement may not be far away.

Unverified reports circulating online have suggested a possible launch date of July 28, 2026, with a premium edition allegedly offering early access beginning July 23.

However, no official release date has been confirmed by Halo Studios at this time.

Halo Studios executives have previously discussed the goal of bringing Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign to both longtime fans and new audiences.

Executive producer Damon Conn said the project aims to reconnect different generations of players.
