Rayman Legends Retold Rumored to Launch on October 1st

Rumors surrounding a remake of Rayman Legends are gaining momentum after a leaked logo for Rayman Legends Retold was reportedly verified by Insider Gaming.

The leak first surfaced online after a Twitter user known as “asdf” shared an image tied to a mysterious “Project Steambot,” prominently featuring the Rayman Legends Retold branding. Many fans immediately speculated that Ubisoft was preparing a remake or re-release of the acclaimed 2013 platformer.

Now, according to Insider Gaming, the leaked logo is authentic, and the project is expected to be officially announced within the next week.

Rumored October Release Date

The report also claims that Rayman Legends Retold is currently targeting a release date of October 1st.

While Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the project, the timing lines up with several major gaming showcases scheduled for early June.

Many fans believe the reveal could happen during Summer Game Fest on June 5th, especially if the title is launching across multiple platforms. Others point toward PlayStation’s upcoming State of Play presentation on June 2nd as another possible venue for the announcement.

That theory gained traction after Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition was previously revealed during a PlayStation showcase.

What Could Rayman Legends Retold Include?

One major question surrounding the rumor is whether Rayman Legends actually needs a remake at all.

The original game remains widely praised for its hand-drawn art style, fluid platforming, and excellent co-op gameplay. Because of that, some fans are wondering if Retold may include more than just upgraded visuals.

The original leaker claimed to possess additional screenshots, concept art, and cosmetic details but declined to share them, allegedly because the official reveal is close.

That has led to speculation that Ubisoft could be planning:

  • New playable content
  • Additional levels or worlds
  • Expanded customization options
  • Enhanced visuals and performance upgrades
  • Cross-platform support

Rayman’s Long-Awaited Return?

Despite remaining one of Ubisoft’s most beloved franchises, Rayman has largely been absent from the spotlight for years outside of crossover appearances and smaller spin-offs.

A full remake or remaster of Rayman Legends could serve as a major return for the series, especially amid growing demand for classic platformers on modern hardware.

For now, fans will need to wait for an official announcement, but with major showcase events approaching quickly, it may not be long before Ubisoft finally reveals what Rayman Legends Retold actually is.
